Less than 300 Yearbooks Left for Sale!
*Attention parents! The CWMS yearbook was not included in the registration process.
There is a separate online store where you can purchase the book. Please search for your child's name before trying to manually enter it yourself. We have uploaded all of the registered students as of September 20th.
So far we have only sold 655 books and we have over 1000 students at our school, so roughly 410 students still do not have a yearbook reserved/purchased.
If you aren’t sure whether you have ordered or not, you will have a confirmation email and an account set up through the yearbook order center link previously listed, please do not email the yearbook teacher asking if you have purchased a book, you will have an email receipt for it if you purchased one. We will be sending out a reminder to those who have not purchased soon.

Free the Children
CWMS Leadership has decided to Adopt a Village in Kenya. We will be working with Free the Children, the world’s largest organization of kids helping kids. If you would like to donate online or buy a family a gift such as a goat, a bundle of chicks, school supplies, etc. Once you donate, please make sure to select “Make a school donation” and write Charlotte Wood Middle School where it asks for the school name. This will ensure that the funds go to our village and it will help us to track the donations for our goal to raise $10,000 this school year for our village. There's more options on the website. See below for link and details.

Parents How To Subscribe To Text Alerts
Our messaging system allows us to send SMS (short message service) notifications to cell phones in our district. This tool is particularly helpful in emergency situations. If you would like to receive SMS alerts from your child's school and the school district, please follow the instructions below. Send the text message "SUBSCRIBE" to 68453. You will then receive a confirmation text that you are opted in.
Parent Tutors Needed
Charlotte Wood Middle School is in need of community members to volunteer to tutor in the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) class. AVID is a nationwide college-readiness system designed to increase the number of students who enroll in and complete a degree at a four year college or university. Tutors are not teachers, but they guide students in their thinking and help them discover their own answers. We are in need of tutors for Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the school year. You can volunteer one or both days, one or both semesters.
Volunteers are the lifeline of AVID’s tutoring program and your child doesn’t need to be in AVID class in order for you to help. Please contact Assistant Principal Debra Petish at email@example.com for more information. Thanks for your support!
