The arts—and the National PTA Reflections program—support student success and serve as a valuable tool for building strong partnerships in your school community. Celebrate arts learning in your school community with Reflections.

National PTA Reflections welcomes all grades and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts. Annually, thousands of students will reflect on a common theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.

The theme for the 2015-2016 school year is Let Your Imagination Fly. This theme—created by Rachel Sperry of Northwood, N.D.—was selected through the Reflections Theme Search Contest. When asked what inspired her theme, Rachel said, "I tell myself to let my imagination fly when writing and sketching." The theme helps Rachel to explore her imagination and she hopes it will inspire others to be creative. Join the search for a future theme by entering the annual Theme Search Contest.

Parent Tutors Needed!

Charlotte Wood is in need of community members to volunteer to tutor AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) students on Mondays (12:19 – 1:05 and/or 1:59 – 2:45) and/or Thursdays (12:36 – 1:16 and/or 1:20 – 2:10).  Tutors are not teachers but they guide students in their thinking and help students to discover their own answers. You can work one or both days, one or both times.  Volunteers are the lifeline of AVID¹s tutoring program and your child doesn¹t need to be in AVID class in order for you to help.  Please contact Assistant Principal Debra Petish at for more information.  Thanks for your support!

Buy Your Yearbook!

Parents buy the school yearbook early before the price goes up. The back to school price is $55 and will go up on October 15th. Get it early to reserve one. We will sell out!

To order, click the banner above and search for your child by last name. If you don't find your name because you are newly registered, please enter it in as completely as you can when you order.
