Attention All CJSF Students – remember that you need to be at school at 8:00 A.M. next Tuesday, May 21, if you are going on the field trip to Stanford University. We will leave by 8:15 A.M. Any questions, please see Mrs. Angelelo or Mrs. Barry.

Promotion Speech - tryouts are being held on Thursday, May 30. Application forms are due in the front office to Mrs. Bergtholdt by Thursday, May 23. Application forms and more information are available from your English teacher.

Prepare Your Student For Social Media Before Entering Middle School: - Lauren Cattolico, MA, MFT, the School Program Coordinator for the Town of Danville Police Department and Resource Officer for CWMS, will be giving a talk about preparing for social media use in middle school. She will be giving a talk for incoming middle school families at Vista Grande Elementary on Tues. May 21 from 7:00- 8:00.P.M.

Volunteers Needed for Great America Trip - well, it's that time of year again and we are looking for least 8 teachers and 10-15 parents who can volunteer for the 8th Grade Great America trip. Help is needed to manage 340 of our 8th grade students going to Great America. Please let Mr. Corral know as soon as possible if you are interested. jcorral@srvusd.net

Primavera Spring Art Show – 36th annual Alamo Danville Artists Society Spring Art Show and Wine Stroll. The event will be held at Blackhawk Plaza, Danville on May 18 & 19. Painting, photography & sculpture by local artists 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. both days. The art show is free and wine tasting wristbands will be sold for $10 as a fundraiser for the San Ramon Valley Schools art programs.

Attention CWMS Class of 2013 - Promotion Party is Friday, June 7, 2013 from 6:00 – 10:00 P.M. Reservations will be accepted during lunch only at the table set up in the MPR on May 28, 29 and 30. No reservations will be accepted after 1:05 P.M. on Thursday, May 30. Student's names will be placed on a list for the day of the event.

Attention 8th Grade Parents - The San Ramon Valley High School class of 2014 is collecting photos for its calendar fundraiser.  Sold during Augusts’ Wolf Pack Days (registration for SRVHS), the proceeds go into the class operating budget for Grad Night.  We are currently seeking photos of any and all current Charlotte Wood 8th graders who will be attending SRVHS in the fall as freshmen.  Group photos, school events, spirit and social (school-sponsored) activity photos are the type of photo acceptable for inclusion in the calendar.  Basically, we are looking for photos of interest to all SRV students and their families!  Please send your digital photos to srvcalendarphotos@gmail.com  the deadline is June 3, 2013.  Thanks for your help in making our calendar a success!

Collaborative Creativity Happens at BandWorks This Summer!

BandWorks award-winning Rock n’ Roll program is open to beginners through advanced, older teen players.  Top professional musician-instructors create a team environment while teaching kids the skills they need to play in a rock band!  By the end of the week, students are rocking out in a live performance in the classroom.  Locations in Orinda, Oakland, San Jose, Los Altos, San Carlos and San Rafael.  Also, now offering overnight camp in Bear Valley!

Girls And Boys Summer Volleyball Camp - California HS Volleyball team & Coach Todd Baham are holding their annual 6th, 7th, & 8th grade Girls & Boys Summer Camp this coming August. The session is August 5 - 8, 9:00 A.M. - NOON. For a total cost of $75.00, your child will get 4- half days of volleyball. It is geared to give the campers an introduction and create real excitement for the sport. We hope they walk away with a great experience at the camp.
