Gain a broad perspective on important issues affecting our children from EdSource Editor John Fensterwald, California Department of Education Principal Advisor Criag Cheslog, and California State PTA President Carol Kocivar.  Our Legislator Panel will include State Senator Mark DeSaulnier, Assembly Education Chair Joan Buchanan, and Assembly Education Budget Subcommittee Chair Susan Bonilla.  A panel of local district superintendents will provide their perspectives on local education issues including the Local Control Funding Formula, and a special needs breakout session on how the implementation of Common Core Standards will affect students with special needs is available.  New this year, immediately following the main conference, will be optional small group table talks and advocacy opportunities (2:30-3:15pm).
