Super Chargers

The Super Chargers Program 2021-2022

Super Charger

Charlotte Wood PTA is pleased to announce that the Super Chargers are back! After a brief hiatus due to COVID, this exciting program is once again being offered to all Charlotte Wood students.

Super Chargers is a program focused on doing small acts of kindness and volunteer work to promote community service, volunteerism, responsibility, and the act of giving.

Students are encouraged to track their hours by filling out a volunteer form and having it signed by an adult for each event he/she volunteers at or act that is performed. This can be anything from helping out at a local school with an event, taking out your elderly neighbors’ trash cans and collecting their mail, volunteering at a local shelter, etc.

Forms can be picked up in the office or downloaded from the CW Super Chargers page on the website and can be returned back to the office or emailed directly to

At the end of the school year, students will receive a certificate based on certain hourly milestones that are achieved.

We look forward to making our community a better place with your kindness!

Warm Regards

PS - Our first volunteer opportunity is coming up next week – Sycamore is looking for volunteers to help stuff envelopes for their Auction. This can be done at home or onsite so please email ASAP if you are interested in helping out!

who are super chargers?

Super Chargers! – Join and Have Fun Volunteering!

Super Chargers is a program that facilitates volunteer opportunities for our students.  Students will get exposure to opportunities to volunteer and they may find some opportunities on their own as well. Students track their hours and get a signature for each specific opportunity and turn them in to the office.

At the end of the year, students receive a certificate when certain milestones are reached.

To sign up to be a Super Charger or for more information, simply email

Active Super Chargers

This is someone who has turned in two or more activity forms from different organizations or activities since the end of the last school year. This is to encourage our students to extend their volunteering experiences into the community.

how do i become a super charger?

When you decide you want to join the Super Charger Program as a volunteer, fill out an activity form, get it signed, and turn it in at the attendance window. If you have questions, have your parent email with your name and grade. The Super Charger program runs on a school year calendar from summer to the end of the school year (June 1st - May 31st). Incoming 6th graders may participate after they complete 5th grade.

The Greater Community Service and Local Community Service activities fall into the category of Community Service work (CS).

How Do I Find Volunteer Jobs?

Please email Super Chargers to be added to the list. During the summer, you will need to be resourceful. You can ask teachers, friends, neighbors, churches, senior homes, animal rescues, etc. It is your responsibility to look for volunteer opportunities.
